California diesel prices are currently at record highs, with the statewide average at $7.9827 per gallon as of September 11, 2026.  This is up $2.81 from a year ago and significantly higher than the national average of $5.97–$6.00.

Key drivers include the closure of the Strait of Hormuz due to the U.S.-Iran conflict, Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian refineries, and U.S. refineries running at 98% capacity, creating a global supply crunch.  California’s high state fuel tax ($0.538/gallon) and strict emissions regulations further elevate costs compared to other states.

Notable data points:

Extreme pricing: Five to six stations (including locations in San Jose, Serra Mesa, and Paso Robles) have maxed out their pump displays at $9.999/gallon, the highest figure their hardware can show.

Metro averages: San Francisco averages $8.23, Oakland $8.02, and Los Angeles County is nearing $6.00 for regular gasoline while diesel remains above $7.80 in most metros.

Economic impact: The surge is driving up freight and grocery prices, with a full tank for a diesel truck now costing upwards of $1,000

(Notice the huge differences in diesel prices in California cities? That is due to the Democrats running refineries out of the state. And not all refineries are set up to make diesel.)

The above is from my Brave browser AI.

(ONE REASON FOR PETROLEUM PRICES BEING SO LOW - $120 A BARREL - IS BECAUSE THERE ARE SO FEW REFINERIES THAT CAN MAKE IT.

I REFER YOU AGAIN TO THE HUGE PRICE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LA AND SAN DIEGO )

Israeli newspaper rejects Netanyahu's demands, vows to reveal truth in court after lawsuit threat

Netanyahu denied contact from UAE president; UAE Foreign Ministry said it does not comment on reports about talks between government leaders

Israeli left-wing newspaper Haaretz rejected three demands Thursday by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to avoid being sued and vowed to reveal the truth in court.

The dispute concerns a report published Tuesday by the newspaper that said Netanyahu received a warning from United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in a call before Oct. 7, 2023, that Hamas was planning to launch an attack.

Netanyahu denied having any contact with the UAE president or receiving any warning from him. The UAE Foreign Ministry said it does not comment on reports of talks between government leaders.

Haaretz said in a statement that it recently sent a response to Netanyahu’s lawyers rejecting his threat to sue the newspaper and journalists Shlomi Eldar and Ruti Yuval.

The newspaper said the report concerned a warning from the UAE president to Netanyahu 10 days before the Oct. 7 attack about a major operation that late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was planning against Israel.

The Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, attacked military bases and settlements near the Gaza Strip, killing and capturing Israelis.

Israeli military, intelligence and political officials have described the attack as an unprecedented political, security and military failure in Israel’s history.

While several security, military and political officials have acknowledged responsibility for the failure, Netanyahu has rejected responsibility and instead blamed the military.

Haaretz said the report was “the product of an in-depth, well-sourced journalistic investigation into a matter of the utmost public interest.”

Mideast Chaos Sends Supertanker Rates Soaring To $800,000 A Day

Supertanker rates on the Baltic Exchange's benchmark Middle East-to-China shipping route have surged to a staggering $800,000 a day. With US forces having destroyed five Iranian-linked tankers and Tehran threatening further escalation in recent days, prospects for near-term stabilization remain limited.

The freight surge signals that crude oil and refined products continue to flow but are becoming increasingly costly to transport out of the Gulf region to global markets.

Mossad ran 9/11 Arab "hijacker" terrorist operation

On Monday February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files, over five million e-mails from the Texas headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. The e-mails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal's Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor's web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods.

The truth the Pentagon hid: Which aircraft did Iranian missiles hit at the US base?

While it was initially believed that Iranian missiles landed in an empty field, it has emerged that the Pentagon concealed the extensive damage to the American base in Jordan. The attack damaged eight F-15 fighter jets, each worth over $60 million, forcing them to withdraw from service. The base suffered further damage; one A-10 aircraft lost a wing, the cost of replacing that wing alone reaching $7 million. Iran, however, claims to have directly struck and heavily damaged F-35 and F-16 hangars.
