when the floods of 1861 started that ended up creating a 300 mile lake in California..

Kunstler: "It's All A Giant Mind-F**k"

Get this: the reason that a color revolution is underway at all in America is not really political anymore - if it ever even was. It's because a whole lot of people have committed crimes against this country. And with each wave of attempted sedition, they have compounded their crimes with more seditious acts, arrant hoaxes, lawfare, election fraud, censorship, and wholesale looting of taxpayer dollars to keep themselves out of prison.

That's what USAID was all about, and why it was taken down early in Trump 2.0. It was a nexus of racketeering and the home-base of the Deep State's foot soldiers, bureaucrats who actually managed the money streams to NGOs that ran everything from election rigging operations to vast social services fraud in blue states, in concert with a Democratic Party that had nothing but rackets to keep it going.

That's how the USAID's defunct office of Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) has morphed into the new Democracy Renewal Group (DRG). This new DRG operates under another project called Branch-4 - as in a fourth branch of government, the permanent bureaucracy - and Branch-4 operates under an NGO called the Action Center on Race and the Economy Institute (ACRE Institute), a 501(c)(3) public charity based in Chicago (EIN 82-1199695). Note, the ACRE Institute's primary funders include the Ford Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. You see how byzantine this is, echoing exactly the hyper-complex administrative workings of government bureaucracy itself?

Pentagon preparing for major war Fox News

Major military bases in the continental US will be expected to sustain essential operations for at least 90 days without external support under a new Pentagon strategy, Fox News has reported.

The autonomy target was set out in FORTRESS documents reviewed by the network, it said on Sunday. Critical military supplies would also require at least two qualified supply or production routes to guard against disruption.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the initiative last month. The US military has faced serious logistical disruption in the Middle East following Iranian strikes on American facilities and other sites used by US forces in retaliation for the US-Israeli attack on Iran.

Fox News, which is generally supportive of President Donald Trump’s agenda, wrote that the US needed to be prepared for a contingency in which military action would “cripple power grids, disrupt supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on American soil.”

(THE US COULD NOT FIGHT AND WIN A WAR AGAINST YEMEN. WE COULD MOUNT INVASIONS OF ENGLAND TO RESCUE THE WHITES FROM PERSECUTION. AT LEAST THERE WE WOULD GET SUPPORT FROM THE LOCALS.)

Banks Found AI Bots Loose in Customer Accounts and DeSantis Asked Who Pays the Bill

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon told investors the bank would keep outside AI programs from logging into customer accounts, calling them too risky.

One week later, Axios reported that the problem was already here.

Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo were all scrambling to contain the bots.

Some of those bots were attempting actions nobody told them to take.

Some were even contacting bank call centers.

Bank executives described the situation as horrifying.

Morgan Stanley started blocking outside agents outright.

Israeli Quadcopter Drones Set Fire to Gaza Tent Camp, Displacing 800 Palestinians

Israeli quadcopter drones dropped incendiary bombs on a displacement camp in Gaza City’s eastern Shuja’iyya junction on Sunday night, setting fire to tents and displacing more than 800 Palestinians, local sources have told the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The camp was near the “yellow line,” the dividing line between the IDF-occupied side of Gaza and the rest of the Strip, and Palestinians who lived in the camp said that they frequently faced Israeli fire but had nowhere else to go. The WAFA report said that about 200 families were impacted by the fire.

U.S. Army Activates New Guam Air Defence Battalion as China and North Korea Bolster Missile Forces

The U.S. Army has activated a new air defence battalion on Guam to strengthen protection of the strategically critical territory, which continues to play a central role in facilitating planned offensives into East Asia. The 3rd Battalion, 43rd Air Defence Artillery Regiment, was formally at Andersen Air Force Base, assuming responsibilities previously handled by Task Force Talon. The transition marks a shift towards establishing a permanent air and missile defence presence on the island. Task Force Talon began its rotational mission in 2013, initially focusing on defending Guam against potential North Korean ballistic missile attacks. The rapid expansion of both China and North Korea’s missile forces have broadened the mission’s scope considerably.

(Ted Postol says we can shoot down 2% of Iran's older missiles and 0.0% of the new missiles they got from North Korea. The US has exactly 3

bases on Guam, USAF, US Navy and Marines. The North Koreans could wipe out the radar with their expensive new missiles and then fire off some

old ones to eliminate what's left. These wars are all theater. The Pentagon is so corrupt that we cannot fight a war.)

Dollar General sued by FTC, 20 states for what's being described as deceptive pricing

The Federal Trade Commission has sued the bargain chain Dollar General for what it characterized as “long-running deceptive pricing practices” by charging customers more once they reach the register than the prices that are displayed on shelves and in advertisements.

Twenty states joined in the complaint, filed by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. It said that Dollar General failed to correct the issue despite what it said was “extensive corporate knowledge of the problem.”

“Dollar General has betrayed the trust of millions of American consumers and imposed significant financial harm on communities and consumers who are already struggling to make their paychecks last,” wrote Christopher Mufarrige, director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection.

(Be advised that Dollar General also owns Family Dollar. Some areas are only served by Dollar General.)

Springfield residents say the crashes by Haitian drivers keep coming and so do the bills

I was put into contact with a Springfield, Ohio, man named Quinn Ferrell, who showed me pictures of the complete destruction of his detached garage by a Haitian driver. Quinn is an exotic pet owner, and the Haitian annihilation resulted in a horrific scene of gore and splatter.

Quinn wrote:

At [3:00 a.m.] me and my wife were jolted awake after hearing what can only be described as an explosion right outside of our bedroom. When I got up I ran outside to hear the noise of a car hitting the rev [limiter], drowsy and still sleepy, I had no idea what I was looking at until I went to the front of my garage. When I saw the door was lodged into the back of my (now-destroyed) Jetta, I knew someone had crashed into my garage from the back of the building. Meaning he ramped my rear neighbor[’]s yard went airborne, slammed through my privacy fence, then crashed [completely] through my entire garage knocking 3 of the four walls off of its foundation.

Stories like Quinn’s are depressingly easy to find. ... You'll quickly notice something: The race and nationality of the offending driver are rarely reported.

Trump Talks Peace While the CIA Is Fueling the War in Ukraine.

Harris does not bury the lede. Armed with information the CIA provides, Ukraine’s military has been launching strikes deep inside Russia. American spy satellites give Ukraine early warning of incoming Russian missiles and drones. Among U.S. personnel on the ground in Ukraine, a retired senior officer who travels there frequently told him, “the CIA is in the lead.”

It gets better. A Baltic intelligence officer who works closely with the Americans told Harris that, whatever Donald Trump says in public, the CIA’s operations against Russia are now “much more aggressive” than they were under Joe Biden. Officers in the CIA’s Special Activities Center, the people who run covert and paramilitary operations, are reportedly among the happiest at Langley, because they are so busy. And this is not new. As Harris notes, the CIA helped build Ukraine’s modern intelligence apparatus after Russia took Crimea in 2014. This has been the agency’s war for more than a decade.

Let me translate that from the polite language of a magazine profile. American intelligence is identifying the targets inside Russia, American satellites are running Ukraine’s air-defense warning network, and American officers are “in the lead” on the ground. If Russia were doing that for Mexico against Texas, Washington would call it an act of war. Moscow has said for years that it is fighting NATO, not just Ukraine. Here, courtesy of The Atlantic and its anonymous sources, is the evidence.

 Now you can order sunlight.

California startup Reflect Orbital, founded by Ben Nowack and Tristan Semmelhack in Hawthorne, announced on October 14 it purchased two dedicated launches from India’s Skyroot Aerospace on Vikram-1 and Vikram-1U vehicles for future spacecraft in its plan to deploy orbital mirrors that redirect sunlight to selected ground locations after dark. The company received FCC approval on July 9 for its first demonstration satellite Eärendil-1, a 142 kg craft with an 18 meter thin film reflector expected to illuminate a 5 km wide area at full moon brightness for several minutes during passes, with launch planned later in 2026 on a SpaceX rideshare. Reflect Orbital has raised over $35 million including Sequoia seed funding and reports more than 250,000 service requests. The constellation targets up to 50,000 satellites by 2035 for applications including solar farm extension, search and rescue, and events, and users can order sunlight via the company’s app or website for specific locations and times.

Former Black Rock insider warns AI cyberattack will be used to end cash, usher in new digital financial controls on all Americans

Former BlackRock portfolio manager Ed Dowd (above) predicts a rogue AI cyberattack will be used as a pretext to roll out some form of crypto-based digital currency to replace the paper dollar system. This would give globalist power elites unprecedented control over the financial transactions of every human being on the planet, including Americans.

Dowd warns that digitized currencies will ultimately enable governments to impose arbitrary limits on purchases, using AI to surveil programmable “money” that can be turned on or off, or programmed to apply only for the purchase of certain goods to the exclusion of others.

This has always been the dark side of digitalized money. Take PayPal, for example. This is a digital payment system that can be convenient to use, but it dictates the rules to its users. You cannot use PayPal to pay for certain goods it doesn’t like, such as entirely legal firearms and the bullets that make them viable weapons for hunting, sport shooting, or personal protection. During the Covid years, PayPal would not let you use its platform to buy NAC, Quercitin or other supplements that were effective in boosting one’s immune system against Covid.

Mutiny in Tel Aviv?

On Sunday, a number of Israeli news agencies reported an “unprecedented confrontation” between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir who “clashed over a military action that could renew the conflict with Iran”. Zamir, who is widely respected among members of the military and political establishment, apparently refused to act on Netanyahu’s directive “amid concerns it risked rapid escalation or miscalculation just before Israel’s October 27 elections.” According to the Jerusalem Post:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir clashed over a military action that could renew the conflict with Iran days before Israel’s elections, N12 News reported Sunday evening. Recently, Zamir received a directive from the political echelon to carry out an action, which security officials told N12 would “trigger a rapid escalation into a confrontation with Iran.”….

Sources familiar with the details told N12 that Zamir and additional IDF leadership are concerned that the political echelon may be trying to exploit the front with Iran ahead of elections for political gain.…

She Fought Off 4 Hijackers, Hid Passenger’s Passports to Protect Americans, and Died a Hero

(Abu Nidal was a Mossad operation.)

On September 5, 1986, four armed hijackers from the Abu Nidal Organization seized Pan Am Flight 73 at Karachi airport in Pakistan. The aircraft was carrying 379 passengers and crew during a stop on its journey from Bombay to the United States.

Neerja was the senior flight purser.

When she realised the aircraft was being hijacked, she alerted the cockpit crew. The pilots escaped, leaving the aircraft unable to take off. That decision changed the course of the hijacking.

The hijackers wanted a pilot so they could fly the plane. They also wanted to identify American passengers.

Neerja now faced a terrifying responsibility. She had to help manage a cabin full of frightened people while four armed men controlled the aircraft.

 She hid American passengers’ passports

The hijackers demanded passengers’ passports. They wanted to identify Americans, who were among their targets.

 Neerja understood the danger.

Instead of allowing the American passengers to be easily identified, she and other crew members concealed passports. Accounts describe passports being hidden beneath seats and in other places where the hijackers would be less likely to find them.

It was a small act with enormous consequences.

A passenger, Dharmendra Shah, later recalled the significance of Neerja’s actions in an interview with Filmfare:

“The most incredible memory is of Neerja gesturing the passengers to hide their American passports.”

I find that detail especially powerful because she did not need to overpower a hijacker to help someone survive. She needed to recognise what the men wanted and act before they could get it.

She also tried to keep passengers calm during the long ordeal. Survivors recalled her persuading the hijackers to allow people to use the washroom and children to drink water.

These were not dramatic gestures. They were practical decisions made under extraordinary pressure.

She could have escaped. She went back.

The hijacking lasted roughly 16 hours. Then the situation deteriorated.

As the aircraft's auxiliary power failed and the cabin lights dimmed, the hijackers opened fire and threw grenades. Passengers scrambled to escape through the aircraft's exits.

Neerja helped open an emergency exit and get people out.

She could have used the opportunity to save herself. Instead, she continued helping passengers, including children who were still inside.

A survivor recalled her decision in an interview with Filmfare:

“She could have easily been the first to slide down the chute but she chose to push everyone else out.”

Neerja was shot while helping children escape. She died from her injuries, just two days before her 23rd birthday.

The US Department of Justice records that 20 people were killed, including Neerja, and more than 100 injured during the hijacking. She helped save around 359 passengers and crew members. Though, he did not act alone.

I cannot imagine the fear she must have felt. But I do not think we need to imagine her as fearless to understand her bravery. She acted while the danger was real and the outcome was uncertain.

What India's highest peacetime gallantry award said about her

Neerja was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India's highest peacetime gallantry award.

The official citation praised her presence of mind and her efforts to protect passengers. It concluded:

“Her loyalties to the passengers of the aircraft in distress will forever be a lasting tribute to the lasting qualities of human spirit.”

That is a remarkable tribute. But I think the most revealing part of her story is not the medal. It is the sequence of decisions that came before it: warning the pilots, concealing passports, calming passengers and helping people escape.

The award recognised the courage behind those decisions.

The response was not limited to India. In a statement on September 5, 1986, US President Ronald Reagan condemned the hijacking as a “cruel and sinister terrorist act” and praised the response that brought the ordeal to an end.

The United States later pursued the hijackers through its justice system. The case remains a reminder that the consequences of an aircraft hijacking do not end when survivors leave the plane.

The families and survivors who carried the memory home

I also think about the people who survived.

For some, the hijacking was not a frightening travel story they could eventually leave behind. It became the day a parent, spouse, friend or fellow passenger did not return home.

 One person commenting online wrote:

"She was a beautiful brave woman who was brutally murdered while saving many other peoples' lives."

 Another said:

"Will respect her till the end of time."

 And another wrote:

"Neerja Mam And Smit Sir Made Whole India Proud At Thier Respective Times."

The comments also reveal the lasting pain of the tragedy. One person shared:

"She was an amazing person. I know someone whose dad died during this hijacking. He doesn't talk about it, but did bring it up when drinking once. I can't imagine the pain he has felt his whole life, knowing his dad died in such a horrific way."

 That comment stayed with me.

We often tell stories of heroism through awards, photographs and the number of people saved. We talk less about the families who lost someone, or the survivors who may carry memories they rarely discuss.

Neerja's bravery deserves to be remembered. So do the people who never made it home.

 Another commenter wrote:

"you strong brave lady you make me cry."

I understand that reaction. Her story is heartbreaking precisely because she was young, had a life ahead of her and still chose to keep helping others when she had a chance to escape.

Anthropic’s IPO filing shows an $80.7 billion half-year loss driven by $72 billion in convertible note revaluations.

Anthropic filed the S-1 Monday and is aiming for Nasdaq under ANT. First half revenue was $16.3 billion, up from $1.1 billion a year earlier. Net loss hit $80.7 billion. Of that, $72.4 billion is a non cash revaluation of convertible notes under fair value accounting. Those notes, mostly Amazon’s, carry only $6.2 billion of real principal but were marked at $108.6 billion by June 30 as the private valuation kept climbing. Higher valuation means bigger liability means bigger paper loss. Operating loss for the half was just $693 million. Cash from operations was positive around $3.9 billion. Compute spend ran near $9 billion. The notes convert into stock at the IPO, subject to caps like Amazon’s 12 percent limit.

Operating costs are disclosed separately so nothing is literally hidden. Still looks a lot like the old tricks. Dotcom firms paid suppliers, landlords and ad agencies with stock to keep cash burn lower on paper. AOL swapped shares for services and ads. Telecom vendors like Lucent, Cisco and Nortel used vendor financing, sometimes with equity or warrants, to push equipment. Anthropic has similar deals where notes cover lease payments and flip into shares. One side is just accounting on financing that becomes equity later. Other side is the numbers are extreme, future compute commitments run into the hundreds of billions, and some recent quarter figures are still blank. Talk of valuations sits between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion. Meanwhile CCC junk was hitting 18 percent, which at least shows the broader credit picture is not exactly calm.
