Gonzalo Lira, Sr. says his son has died at 55 in a Ukrainian prison, where he was being held for the crime of criticizing the Zelensky and Biden governments. Gonzalo Lira was an American citizen, but the Biden administration clearly supported his imprisonment and torture. Several weeks ago we spoke to his father, who predicted his son would be killed.

Confirmed just moment's ago. A man who tried to help other men, is gone.

I haven't followed Gonzalo much, but from what little I know, livestreaming his attempted escape from Ukraine might've been the last mistake he ever made.

Serves him right.

For what, telling the truth? I wouldn't have picked you for defending the joos that murdered Lira.

I would say this to be true. When you try to escape from anywhere you want to keep things on the quiet side. :-/

An "American" arrested for "production and dissemination of materials justifying Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine", oh joy. He'd fit right in here!

I don't think he live streamed it. I think he recorded it 1-2 hours before reaching the border, and posted it just before attempting to cross. That's what I would have done.

Certainly hindsight is 20/20 and he talked about the impracticality of trying to cross somewhere other than a formal check point, but it's hard to imagine that wouldn't have been a better way out of Ukraine. Or better yet, instead of Hungary, cross into Belarus. Far better chance of being safe in their hands.

That's nonsense. He was just a wannabe "journalist" that told the truth, no more, no less.

He'd fit right in here!

Not anymore. He'll be voting "D" at the next election though.

For some reason I'm under the impression that he did, I might be wrong. It was a long time ago. I'm back in the habit of getting the info and forgetting about it again. I had to do it in the old days, and I have to do it again with all the perversions going on now. I won't even take pics of acquaintances anymore because I'm tired of my android reminding me of dead friends. It would eat me alive from the inside-out if I dwelled on what the freakshow is doing to the children now (see tagline).

...it's hard to imagine that wouldn't have been a better way out of Ukraine. Or better yet, instead of Hungary, cross into Belarus.

I used to have a team of folks that worried about that so I could focus on my job. I had some training in evasion, but it was limited. If they hadn't done their job, I'd be dead.

Gonzalo was walking alone, his ego was the cause of his death, IMHO.

I won't disagree that he should have been aware there was at least some danger in giving less than flattering news reports/opinions about the Ukraine military capabilities against Russia during a Russian invasion. Doesn't excuse what happened to him though, or Biden's lack of interest in getting him released.

US should have pushed for his release and brought him back to the US.

Agreed, but Pedo Joe and his LGBTQAI+ freakshow has no compassion unless he's getting his 10%.

The Brittney Griner incident is proof positive of that. Along with the Marine in Russia, Gonzalo Lira and countless others.

The US is dying. I wouldn't be letting Doc fuck around with Tommy if I didn't think the end was nigh.

NEVER GO FULL RETARD or FUCK WITH TOMMY!

(Edit) Once again, I'm ashamed of my country. What they MADE happen to Gonzalo was atrocious. The "New" CIA was undoubtedly involved from the git-go.

That was a Steven Crowder parody that's close to the truth, this is not...

"What is your past job experience, Mr. Pacman?"

"I used to be a bartender in a NOT GAY bar."

A NATO base on Russia's border in violation of treaty might be considered sufficient provocation

"I used to be a bartender in a NOT GAY bar."

In Chicago in the late 70s there was a fight at the corner tap and the windows were broken out. The next night this guy wanted a beer so he went across the street to The Blue Pub. It was a gay bar. Some guy grabbed his ass and he punched him out.

The cops came and arrested him. I heard when he got in front of the Judge he said, "I'm tired of you tough guys beating up the gays." He gave him 30 days in the Cook County Jail.

I knew about that place so I stayed away from it.

There was a Lesbian bar two blocks away. I stayed away from there too. Some of those tough dykes would have kicked my ass. ;)
