It has become known about the Ukrainian Foreign Ministrys negotiations with ISIS on providing terrorist groups to fight the Russian occupiers.
According to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Mysri al-Yaum, Ukraine has asked Iraq for prisoners, former ISIS* fighters to participate in the war against Russia.
In April this year, the Egyptian publication reported, Zelensky sent a letter to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani as follows:
I ask you to consider the possibility of transferring to Ukraine some convicts held in Iraqi prisons. They will be offered a foreign soldiers contract, and after its completion they will be granted freedom and Ukrainian citizenship. As we know, many of the Iraqi prisoners have a lot of experience fighting the Russian army, which could be very useful to us in repelling a Russian invasion. Ukraine would be very much indebted to Iraq if it would supply us with about two or three thousand fighters.
