I worked with this Iranian foremen on the Illinois state highways. He was so stupid they called him "the brain" and guys would flip the light switch on and off when he came into the day room.
One time we were working on a moving pot hole operation on Rte 68 west of I-294 there was no interchange there.
I was in the back up truck with the arrow board. There was a lot of forest preserve along there.
Some guy hit the crew cab. One of the guys was sitting in the back of the pick up.. He went flying up in the air. After he hit the pick up one of our guys was on left rear corner of asphalt truck telling driver to pull up. He hit him. He got his 3rd and 4th cervical vertebrae crushed.
Whey sent ambulances from two suburbs.
I remember sitting with his Dad at Northwestern Memorial Hospital downtown since they had the spinal unit. He said, "I begged him. Anywhere but the highway department." He could have gotten him a job at any state agency, but he wanted to work on the highways.
Thet guy was pretty tough guy but that accident decimated his life. The cut his life expectancy way back.
I asked the guy that was driving the car, "What happened?" He said, "I looked away for just a moment to tune the radio."
I think his insurance company cancelled his policy. After that he was high risk and likely had to pay triple premiums to get coverage. ;)

I am trying to ascertain who is benefitting from the conflict in the Middle East with Israel and Palestine going to war against each other.
Hamas has been getting weapons from both Ukraine, and Afghanistan. This looks like the democrat party has its hands in all manner of treachery, but I am still wondering who it might benefit in Israel and Ukraine?
