"A place of mystery and magic" -- what magic is he talking about, equus? And what good did it do them to build the pyramid this way? Nobody ever says. "Everything is theory where the great pyramid is concerned" -- that's for sure.

They knew the value of Pi and the circumference of the earth at the equator at 4,000 BC. They built that pyramid and I don't think we could do that today, especially with our government regulations.

Very witty -- LOL! But what good did it do them or anybody?

There is no magic. No knowledge of advanced mathematics is required to design or build a pyramid, any more than a doctorate in laryngology is required to drink a glass of water. Any farmer can square a fence corner, and any carpenter or mason can run a straight line.

Since so many gigantic construction feats like the WTC and Burj Khalifa are for pure vainglory plus jew shekel games -- neither of those (has) ever reached full capacity -- I figure the pyramid is too.

BTW, did you know that only a biologist can define 'woman'?

I bet you cannot tell that to a Lesbian and get away with it.

The OATS driver that took me to my doctor today told me he was in a bar in Ohio when several of them walked in. They had cigarette packs rolled up in their T shirt sleeves.

When I lived in Chicago there was a guy bar and a Lesbian bar two blocks apart. I stayed away from both of them. ;)

I don't get how stupid people can be with their massive construction projects. The pyramids. The huge ugly statues on Easter Island. The St. Louis Gateway Arch. The Washington Monument. Most or all city skyscrapers.

Why?

I'm SURE you did

Listen to what I am saying.

When I worked at the gay florist as a young man making deliveries, myself and the other delivery man were the only straight ones in the place.

Several years layer when working for Illinois State Highways, I was in The Brothers Tavern for a couple of beers after work.

On the late afternoon news they had a human interest story. This guy had found his long lost brother. The guy was one of the designers at the guy florist.

I stood up on the rungs of the bar stool, pointed at the TV and shouted, "THAT GUY'S A FAGGOT!"

Everyone was asking how I knew. I told them, "We worked at the same shop but had different jobs."

I knew about the Blue Pub. But one night there was a fight at the corner tap and the windows got broken out. It was closed the next day.

One guy wanted a beer. So he went across the street to the Blue Pub. Some guy grabbed his ass so he punched him out.

I heard the cops came and arrested him. When he got in front of the Judge, the Judge said, "I'm tired of you tough guys beating up the gays." He gave him 30 days in Cook County Jail. :-/

'What you're saying' is a bunch of neurotic, itchy, twitchy, closety junk about same-sex attraction -- over and over like 5 broken records playing simultaneously.

It's all right if you're gay. Billions of people are. Nobody obsesses over gays unless they are. Lots of you guys have dropt hairpins through the years -- I've got quite a collection of them saved up.

These little trinkets from my zine on the subject:

-----

How Raymond Burr and His Boyfriend Created Their Own Paradise

www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qM7jQxNnHw

-----

How gay is My Fair Lady (MFL), for instance? Henry Higgins lives alone, loves language, is so expert at it that he can tell what naberhood a person's from by his speech. His mother figures majorly if contemptuously in his unconventional life.

Higgins is fun, spontaneous, boyish -- and what does that spell? He's a brash, opinionated, middle-aged bachelor, too -- by chance he meets a fellow scholar, played in a totally sissy style by Wilfrid Hyde-White, whom he admires and instantly invites to come stay with him at 27A Wimpole St. By yummy coincidence, the very gay Lennon and McCartney wrote I Want to Hold Your Hand at #57 Wimpole :-]

But Higgins' relationship with Eliza is the real giveaway. He is totally, famously indifferent to her as a woman both before and after her transformation -- and Audrey Hepburn is of course held up as this ultra-ultra ultimate miraculous ideal definitive embodiment of Womanity, the most transcendently GORGEOUS dame that has ever existed in the known universe to hear fans and pundits tell it.

Higgins and Pickering are so deeply into their intellectual interests it's almost like they're trying to diss Eliza -- yes, Pickering is too sometimes. Eliza, having zero sophistication -- no parent alerts their child that men are 75% gay -- tragically falls for Higgins, partly perhaps dazzled by the lifestyle he could offer her. In any other plot this is where it would go, and marrying him would fulfill all the dreams so winningly set up by her 'Wouldn't It Be Loverly' imagery.

But even once they separate, miss each other and reconnoiter, he's instantly and only patronizing her again. The ending is diabolical: too short to be clear, but clearly gay between the lines. Yes, he liked having her around but isn't going to budge from the lifestyle in which his every creature comfort is already provided by (mostly) women beneath his social class. In any other movie He'd sweep Her into His arms, They'd kiss passionately and mebbe break into a love duet. I'm sure this is what audiences think is implied.

Another question comes to mind: does wealth breed decadence and soullessness? I think so, alas. During their argument after the ball he raises some excellent points, but in no form the former urchin is prepared to take in. Their conversation at his mother's is also cringeworthily skewed.

The masses sitting in theater seats (or watching on TV) are ravished as if boy has met girl, lost girl and regained girl as per custom, but this is only because they've just sat through 170 minutes of dazzling costumes, scenery, hypo-Shavian dialogue, and yes entrancing his-and- hers appreciation songs. Funny world!

What was Shaw's whole point? Wikipedia on Pygmalion: "The play is a sharp lampoon of the rigid British class system of the day and a commentary on women's independence." The site's stuff on the ending is rich rich rich, including "Eliza remarks that it was only by Pickering's example that she learned to be a lady, which renders Higgins speechless". Pickering's example..... heh!

en.wikipe dia.org/wiki/Pygmalion_(play)#Act_Five

en.wikipedi a.org/wiki/Pygmalion_(play)#Ending

OK, GBS meant it as an exercise in fem lib, but what's the backstory? Shaw the great theatrician lived with his mother till he married at age 38. His origins could easily be read as gay-conducive:

en. wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Bernard_Shaw#Early_years

AFTER WRITING THE ABOVE.... I swear.... K.R. (who didn't know I was writing it) sent a link alleging "Like his protagonist Henry Higgins, Shaw had no interest in women, only marrying in his 40s so he could use his wife as a secretary! He also was an early gay rights advocate, defending gay people in his essays and his close friend Oscar Wilde at his trial." Anybody has evidence of that, I'm all ears.

If there were biblical references it would be on a par with AllTheKingsHorsesWontDoIt.

BTW, I've tried to explain before that I am not a butt blaster.

stir it

When we worked for Illinois State Highways, the new Lead, Lead Worker at Northbrook yard would come into day room every morning to give a speech.

One of the Jew boys said of him, "This guy is a Captain Queeg."

One time I got up and went to my locker and got the hearing protectors and put them on. The whole place cracked up.

Another time I lifted his keys off his belt and passed them down the line. They went all the way around the tables and back to him.

On another occasion he said to me, "I'm going to run this yard just like the Army."

I replied, "Does that mean I can roll a frag under your desk?" ROTFLMAO

Consider that GB Shaw was generally believed to be sexless. That explains Higgins better than being gay.

He did marry albeit at age 41 to what I think at the time were called bluestockings. One of her requirements was that the marriage never be consumated and he apparently was okay with that.

Impossible to believe any non-gay person would have written that at the time, even if it was never published -- speshly in the light of these other clues about GBS. It's impossible but I know you're going to pull it off ;)
