Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas rightly stated Friday that President Joe Bidens defiance of a Supreme Court ruling regarding an eviction moratorium is absolutely impeachable.
Biden acknowledged on Tuesday that a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention order extending a moratorium on evictions, which had expired July 31, was likely unconstitutional and in violation of a Supreme Court ruling.
The bulk of the constitutional scholarship says that its not likely to pass constitutional muster, Biden told reporters, according to an official White House transcript of his remarks. But there are several key scholars who think that it may and its worth the effort. But the present you could not the court has already ruled on the present eviction moratorium.
But, at a minimum, by the time it gets litigated, it will probably give some additional time while were getting that $45 billion out to people who are, in fact, behind in the rent and dont have the money, he added. Thats why it was passed in in the act that we passed in the beginning of my administration, and it went to the states.
Biden doubled down Wednesday when asked about the constitutionality of the moratorium.
I cant guarantee you the court wont rule that we dont have that authority but at least well have the ability to, if we have to appeal, to keep this going for a month at least. I hope longer, the president said.

In a sane nonpartisan world with honest Congresscritters Biden would be impeached. But then who would we get in the Oval Office? You guessed it.
