The Georgia secretary of state’s office announced the additional recount on Monday evening during a press conference. The Trump campaign criticized Georgia’s first recount, which took place over the course of last week and uncovered two errors worth thousands of votes each on Saturday. As The Daily Wire reports:

What is the rationale to suggest this recount might deliver substantive differences from the last recount? Is there any?

It might be quicker, easier, and more honest if another election using paper ballots, with proper IDs, and hand-counted at every precinct was held. The electronic voting is just not secure.

Yes, if the recount is just recounting fake ballots, I don't see the point. And I thought the first recount was done by hand. If fraudulent counting is suspected, fine, but what safeguards are in place now to catch that? Are poll watchers on hand to verify the counting at each precinct? If they just expect a counting error, then it seems it's futile and this will damage Trump's image.
