Reinhard Heydrich, and Wilhelm Canaris were the top spymasters in the Third Reich, two rivals who were masked in both mystery and secrecy. But in the end, one man would kill for Hitler and the other would betray him.
Poster Comment:
Hitler's Third Reich was a dictatorship. Many of the surviving German scientists and members of the military were brought to the U.S. during Operation Paperclip. And then there was Eisenhower's debacle of maltreatment of German POWs. That was a war crime that was never investigated since the Allies won the war.
Admiral Canaris was of Jewish descent and head of the Abwehr. He and General Beck sent ment men to London to offer to surrender i March of 1939. All 58 million people who dies in WW II were killed after His Majesty's Jewish Government refused to let the Germans surrender and FDR refused to let the Japanese Emperor surrender.
Canaris was born on 1 January 1887 in Aplerbeck (now a part of Dortmund) in Westphalia, the son of Carl Canaris, a wealthy industrialist, and his wife, Auguste (née Popp).[1] Canaris believed that his family was related to the 19th century Greek admiral and politician Constantine Kanaris, a belief that influenced his decision to join the Imperial German Navy.[1]
While on a visit to Corfu, he was given a portrait of the Greek hero that he always kept in his office. However, according to Richard Bassett, a genealogical investigation in 1938 revealed that his family was actually of Northern Italian descent, originally called Canarisi, and had lived in Germany since the 17th century. His grandfather had converted from Catholicism to Lutheranism.[2]

Canaris called one of his officers, Major Ernst Bloch, a highly decorated soldier, into a meeting, [and] told him that he had been approached by the U.S. government to locate and rescue Rabbi Yosef Yitzḥak Schneersohn: Youre going to go up to Warsaw and youre going to find the most ultra-Jewish rabbi in the world, [he told Bloch], and youre going to rescue him. You cant miss him, he looks just like Moses.

I have different sources saying the same thing. I do not accept Wikipedia as a source.
Being Jewish might explain why Canaris worked for British Intelligence throughout the war.
Too bad you have no faith in Wikipedia.
I have found an article about Canaris I will post shortly. He was opposed to Hitler, especially after the Night of the Long Knives when Hitler murdered many of his political rivals, including Ernst Rohm. But then Rohm was a homosexual so that explains why he got the axe. ;)
