Planning to sweep the country with a “patriot wave,” a movement called Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment is looking to heat up July and August with overpass protests, according to the Examiner.

James Neighbors, the movement’s national coordinator and founder, has already set up a Facebook page and is preparing for demonstrations similar to the one held in California earlier this month.

Impeach Obama protest 1In similar protests in California earlier this month, participants caused a traffic jam by gathering on an overpass and waving at motorists on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad. Some flew American flags and the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party-adopted Gadsen flag, while others held placards that read “Remember Benghazi,” “Obama Lies” and “Amnesty Hell No!”.

“After reading several news stories on that protest, the inspiration struck me that if such protests were to occur nationally, that surely Congress would listen and act,” Neighbors told the Examiner. “After thinking for several hours on how to create something like that, Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment was born.”

Neighbors said the movement is growing and organizers hope to have overpass protests in all 50 states.

“As we speak, organizations across America are planning protests – California, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana,” Neighbors said. “For now, local groups are planning their own protests, throughout July, beginning July 4th.”

The goal Neighbors said, is to have a mass protest in August that will stretch across country, all on the same day, for an event coined as “the patriot wave.”

Neighbors was asked how the organization would respond if those decrying impeachment were called “right-wing” and “partisan,” and perhaps not taken seriously.

“I would urge them to stop what they are doing, and spend time to read the US Constitution. There is no ‘right wing’ to this, it’s simply a matter of Americans who realize this administration has gone beyond the limits of the Constitution,” Neighbors said. “Simply look at the scandals that exist. No other administration in history has ever acted in such a manner, regardless of political affiliation.”

According to Neighbors, the Overpasses movement is independent and not affiliated with the tea party or other groups. However, members of tea party groups do support and have joined the movement. (1 image)

Sounds great, but, get a website; many of us do not use FB!

Amen. At least the National Sekurity Crims have to work a little bit harder to build their file on me. (Although, since I have been under surveillance since at least the 8th Grade they probably already have a pretty good thick file.)

The last thing any American should be calling for is Obama's Impeachment. Should that happen, the damage he has already done will remain. What America needs is a nullification of the 2008 and 2012 Presidential Elections on the grounds that Obama is not eligible to hold the office. In that way, when he goes, everything he did goes with him.

Folks should hang him in effigy. Obummer deserves the same treatment meted out to previous presidents:

Folks should hang him in effigy.

I believe that will fix it up.

That was a good job of editing.

I figure most everyone here is, already, on the list. So, might as well give them something to do over at NSA.

True. Why-the-hell-not, at this point??

Indeed. If you aren't on the government's shit list by now you either don't have a mind or have never expressed a rebellious thought. If you have a mind and don't care what they think about what you say, you are on their list.

If you think for yourself and are not a "member of the team" you are on the list. The higher the I.Q. the higher you are on the list.

I'm not driving 40 miles to get to an overpass for any reason.

I guess I have never been a member of the team, at least not the government's team. I despise what the government has become.

While I'm a Vet I actually believed and supported all that stuff about "support and defend the Constitution". So, I'm not a member of the team either as they acknowledge no law other than what is convenient for them.

I believe in support and defend the Constitution too. It's too bad that the politicians and judges who take an oath that says they will do that pay less attention to it than an elephant pays to a pissant.

I guess most of us on this board qualify as "domestic extremists" and "terriers" because of our anti-war sentiments. I am not "anti-war" in the sense that I don't believe there is such a thing as "just war" but I don't think this government has actually engaged in one of those since the revolution against England.
