Yep. Evidently, being hassled by the TSA and then drinking two pots of coffee leads to what we just saw.
Great passion on Alex's part, but completely incoherent.
Alex's argument should have been simple. The Second Amendment is part of the Constitution which is the highest law of the land.
"How would you like it, Piers, if we decided that Cable Commentary Shows weren't in the nation's interest and pulled yours from the air? You'd be screaming "First Amendment" in about two seconds.
Piers, you look like you've eaten something very sour. No witty comeback?"
