Egads........what an entitlement mentality!! The idiots actually think that the laws "protect" the people, when it's just a money making machine. These people wouldn't want the tax increase if folks quite buying "sin" products.

"When I go to a bar, I don't want to inhale smoke."

Ab's response: Lady, make a bar for yourself in your own home and shut your pie hole!!

I love the bs line that the government IS the people. If that were the case, when 90% of the people said NO BANK BAIL-OUT we would have had NO BAILOUT.

"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ... We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of." Edward Bernays, Father of Public Relations

Lodwick my friend, you're about to witness the effect liberalism/socialism will have on your fine city. That's the bad news. The good news is, given our age, we'll be long gone before the downfall is complete.

Personally, I think the denizens of Austin do NOT have enough laws to look after themselves.

For instance, it should be mandatory to have a license to procreate, fewer people, less crime and expense caring for them. Pass the law right away. Recreational sex would be taxed heavily, sure way to raise needed money for needed social programs.

Yes Sir, Austin needs to set an example.

Looking at that 'tube was like looking at NYC with Bloomberg at the helm. Hey y'all down there, kill it quickly, or die a sloooow death. And if all else fails, y'all are welcome here in the mountains. Bring your long undies and your guns. We've got the beans.

Amen.

I've long advocated just that concept, for people and their pets. If you cannot demonstrate the world's need for your offspring (or your pet's) then it's no go.

Maybe even sterilization for being so stupid as to suggest such a thing.

Time to spin the poochies in between much-needed T'storms.

In the words of the great Harry Browne, "Government can't make people good. It can only punish people when they are bad."

I wonder if Ms. Hernandez would take a mandatory vaccination from Fidel/Raul?

Or, suppose A BNP-type of party comes to power and they mandate shots for all persons of Mexican descent, ostensibly because they are prone to endocarditis, (which is true) the result of long term low grade infections from bad teeth, foot problems etc.,.

Would she accept a shot "for her own good" from hostile politicians that wish her ethnic group would dry up and blow away?

Ben Franklin said that we'd get the govt we deserve. The fact that these conservations take place at all is proof of that statement.

Several stout hearted souls here said that sticking a needle in her/his arm is where the line will be drawn and I agree. I can only hope that a majority of people would rise up against mandatory vaccinations for themselves. They haven't done diddly about it for infants, school children and now their daughters who are presumed to be the future diseased hoes of America.

I read it yesterday. The videos were particularly interesting and Pike's conclusions were preaching to the choir, but the topic has been beaten to a stalemate here so I elected not to belabor the point.

If those with who we disagree were "the enemy" I'd post it but I respect them and I won't insult them by expecting them to roll over at this point.

I say this because even though I trust my instincts they do not constitute conclusive proof that ewe gno hoo iz a ewe gno watt. The fact that AJ avoids any meaningful criticism of a certain class of "victims" is not in dispute, and his change of tune in the past 2 years (as demonstrated by the videos) doesn't prove the point that I feel is most important. (Izzy See Eye Ayyyyyy?)

Thank you for the reference to it for the benefit of those interested.

This doesn't have anything to do with the thread but your post reminded me that if Obama said "hoe down" Manchelle would hit the floor.

He (Gordon Duff) also implies that forcibly removing Obama, a Constitution-hating, on-the-down-low, crackhead Communist, is an attack on America, Mom, and apple pie. ok. i know what you mean about beating a dead horse, so to speak. i received it via email today. thought it was interesting since pike had been a lauded guest of jones. i'd post it myself but am currently on a mobile device, so i can't. but i will post it later.

one more thing. i am not familiar wit pike but found his case particularly interesting since i hold a nearly identical position which ive posted for years; that is that as Christians, we have a moral obligation to resist evil and expose it. Also, i like the fact that Pike's admonitions of Jones were not personal or hateful, like most of the anti jones screeds are.

I read somewhere that when she left her 300k per yr job they simply eliminated the position.

The author concluded that hers was not an essential function.

She must have had some juice to have a do-nothing position conjured by political sorcerers at three times the going rate for a political potted plant. Now she was either a real mover and shaker behind the scenes or, she's got a real honey dripper on her.

He made that point so eloquently that even I was impressed, and I'm usually unmoved by Christians professing a political mandate. Of course this isn't the same as Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell (who by now is no doubt playing gut bass in The Gabriel Quartet) claiming that GAWD wanted us to vote Republican.

She's another affirmative action case. Probably couldn't get a job at any self respecting Hardee's establishment if not for that pc bs.

And because she and His Excellency, President Obama were important gears in The Cook County machine nothing should surprise me.

That machine is quite likely the wormiest in the whole US.

I think there should be DANCING REGULATIONS: limits on spins a woman is allowed per song, regulations requiring eco-friendly "green" peanut shells on dance floors, decibel limits on live music, etc.

;-)

that might be better than the sawdust some of the clubs use on the dance floor. ;)

and Copperhead Road, the louder, the better!
