NEW YORK — David Greenglass, who served 10 years in prison for his role in the most explosive atomic spying case of the Cold War and gave testimony that sent his brother-in-law and his sister, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, to the electric chair in 1953, has died at 92. Greenglass — who admitted decades later that he lied on the stand about his own sister — died in New York City on July 1, according to the Rosenbergs' sons, Michael and Robert Meeropol. After his release from prison in 1960, Greenglass lived under an assumed name in Queens, hoping to be forgotten for his part in a McCarthy-era cause celebre that is still furiously debated to this day. A spokeswoman for the ...

Following the bombardment and surrender of Fort Sumter at Charleston on April 9, 1861, Lincoln ordered Governors of the remaining Union states to call up their state militias and supply an army of 75,000 to invade and subdue the seven Southern states that had seceded. While this was received enthusiastically in many Northern States, the Border States viewed this order as a tyranny they would not follow. Consequently, the border states of Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Arkansas seceded and secession efforts were underway in Missouri and Kentucky. The order was likewise not well received in Maryland. One of the first steps of the Lincoln administration was to secure the Capitol in ...

Here’s a video of the first flight October 2, 2014 - After a multi-year volunteer restoration effort, EAA’s 1917 Standard J-1 biplane with The Great Waldo Pepper paint scheme made its maiden post-restoration flight on Monday, September 29, along a freshly mowed makeshift grass strip parallel to Runway 9 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Test pilot Larry Harmacinski, EAA Lifetime 241492/Vintage 11740, described the flying qualities of the nearly century-old design. “Ponderous, like the Ford Tri-Motor, even slower if you can imagine. It’s quite a timepiece.” The “meat and potatoes” of the aircraft, which had the serial number 1956, have ...

Medscape... A common lament regarding our online-connected lives is the loss of interpersonal connectivity. Ironically, online connections through e-visits are now becoming more prevalent as the avenue through which to communicate one's most personal of all types of information, healthcare. Is the trend for virtual physician visits a savior for primary care physicians or another nail in the coffin of the noncorporate practice of medicine? One may argue that the question is moot, as the number of primary care private practices continues its incessant decline. However, while virtual visits can be made to work as a lifeline for these practices, the juggling of the time, the expense, and ...

Previously unpublished correspondence between Hillary Clinton and the late left-wing organizer Saul Alinsky reveal new details about her relationship with the controversial Chicago activist and shed light on her early ideological development. Clinton met with Alinsky several times in 1968 while writing a Wellesley college thesis about his theory of community organizing. Clinton’s relationship with Alinsky, and her support for his philosophy, continued for several years after she entered Yale law school in 1969, two letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. The letters obtained by the Free Beacon are part of the archives for the Industrial Areas Foundation, a training ...

No Evidence Work Promotes Nazi Ideology The publishers of a book containing Adolf Hitler speeches were cleared of hate-crime charges in the Czech Republic, spurring concerns from the country’s Jewish community. The Brno municipal court ruled Wednesday that it found no evidence that the 2012 book put out by a Brno-based publishing house, Guidemedia, promoted Nazi ideology. The court said the publication of historical documents cannot be considered a criminal act. Under Czech law, propagating Nazism is a crime that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. The book features 18 speeches delivered by Hitler between 1939 and 1942. “This is a historical text with all the ...

A fund for Jewish victims of Nazi crimes says it has reached an agreement with the German government for additional financial assistance for child survivors of the Holocaust. The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany said the German finance ministry agreed late yesterday to one-time payments of €2,500 for Jewish children who were in concentration camps, ghettos or in hiding for at least six months. Today all elderly, such victims of the Nazis are still suffering the effects of childhood malnutrition and psychological trauma. It was not immediately clear how many victims would qualify for the payments and the finance ministry had no immediate comment. The agreement ...

Originally published in Ancient American Magazine March/April 1994. In the 1830′s, soon after the forced removal of aboriginal tribes into Indian Territory, Chocktaw hunters roaming vast, vacant, forested hills came upon the mammoth runestone in an idyllic vale of Poteau, Mt. It had stood immemorially hidden in its remote ravine. Gloria Farley first hiked to it in 1928 when no path yet led the two miles uphill from her home town, Heavener, Oklahoma. A precocious little girl, she realized c.1930 that the large characters carved on “Indian Rock” were runes; but not until 1951, on moving back to Heavener from Ohio, did she clear away the gray lichen and begin serious study ...

The Death of Francis Parker Yockey
Post Date: 2014-08-26 00:27:14 by Deasy

Fifty years ago, June 17, Francis Parker Yockey, fearing he would be lobotomized by the US government, committed suicide while incarcerated in the San Francisco county jail. The anniversary of the death of this enigmatic figure — arguably America’s most brilliant anti-liberal thinker — is likely to go unobserved in his native land, for his legacy is still unclaimed. Unlike what Evola called the “false right,” whose alleged anti-liberalism derives from essentially liberal premises (constitutionalism, free markets, bourgeois social forms and sentiments, etc.), Yockey’s thought derived from Prussian rather than Anglo-American sources. As his mentor, Oswald ...

A Speech to the Clarendon Club, 1990. [IMAGE David Irving]  This is the second time in a year that I speak to more than half of you this evening. Today I am going to talk about a matter which is close to the hearts of everybody who is British. I know nothing about your names, or your politics, or your religion. I know however that nearly all of you are British, and this is the unifying factor for us all. In 1938, when I was born, Britain controlled an empire which covered a large part of the land masses of the globe. We were a nation who could hold our head up high. We were not ashamed of what we were doing. We were a nation with a sense of mission, a sense of purpose, a sense of ...

Published on Jul 23, 2014 Two Connecticut State troopers BREAKING NEWS! Two Connecticut State Troopers have now confirmed to Wolfgang Halbig that an 11,000 page document in his possession was "the script" for the Sandy Hook fake shooting. The document details virtually every aspect of the staged event that would be presented to the public as though it had been a real shooting where 20 children died. This testimony by CT state troopers is "smoking gun" evidence of a staged DHS event. The script includes sworn statements from 16 Connecticut state troopers, including that they had entered the building through the shattered window at the school's entrance. ...

A Few Fascinating Missouri Civil War Facts

Here’s a few fascinating facts about Missouri’s role in the American Civil War. The important thing to remember is that Missouri was heavily engaged in the American Civil War just as much, if not more, than most of the states east of the Mississippi River. Over 1,000 battles and skirmishes were fought in the state. Her story and legacy is worthy of preserving and promoting.  You can help in creating the Missouri Civil War Museum so future generations will never forget the sacrifices of our ancestors.  Prior to the war, Missourians voted overwhelmingly against secession. The state legislature and the state convention, while being anti-secession, expressed their ...
