We Need 435 + 34 + 2 Brave Americans From Karl W B Schwarz kwbschwarz2@snet.net 12-30-6 If you have the time, tune in to the Jeff Rense Program at 9pm, Pacific Time, January 5 for an eye-opening interview with Bill Grisham. We will be working with Mr. Grisham on the design and deployment of one of the most advanced satellite systems ever put into orbit. We were asked to provide a UAV system in 2003 and Bush and Rumsfeld killed it because it would "see too much" and be in the control of the private sector that was not part of Bush Co and their Iraq agenda.Saddam Hussein has been hanged for war crimes. You can bet the Bush Family is celebrating today because what Saddam could ...

First, They Came For Our Inert Grenades

This Holiday season, the United States Postal Service shit all over American Christians. Apparently, we’re not allowed to mail grenades to Canada anymore. Effective December 21, 2006, we are revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMMr) to reflect the addition of the prohibition of inert and replica munitions such as inert grenades in the Individual Country Listing for Canada. Canada Post has noted that an increasing number of these items are sent through the postal network. These items impede security procedures and may disrupt Canada Post’s ability to deliver other postal items. Such items found in the mail will be destroyed. ...

Marijuana is the #1 cash crop in the U.S.

This has been an exciting day so far. I've just returned to the MPP office after debating a prohibitionist from the Drug Free America Foundation on live national TV on MSNBC. And I have to dash off again in a moment for another appearance, because the segment is, according to an MSNBC producer, "one of the most e-mailed stories today." The topic? The new report that MPP co-released yesterday -- http://www.drugscience.org/bcr/index.html -- that shows marijuana is the nation's number one cash crop. The report, written by Jon Gettman, Ph.D., explains that wholesale marijuana sales are at $36 billion annually, which is greater than corn ($23 billion) and vegetables ($11 ...

Greenpeace Renounces Nonviolence
Post Date: 2006-12-09 00:20:54 by Esso

Greenpeace, the activist group known for its risky, but non-combative, worldwide efforts to protect the environment, declared today it has officially renounced non-violent tactics. The act is seen as a reaction to an increasingly hostile activist environment that has frequently pitted Greenpeace in one-sided violent confrontation against both anti-environmentalist corporate interests and the often corrupt governments that support them. "We've been broadsided, beaten, Maced, bombed, sunk, sued and spat on for years, and that's just by the politicians," Redwing Beetleboi, a senior Greenpeace spokesman, said. "And so far, we've always turned the other cheek, as the ...

Fighting the Iraq War...at Home

I had just gotten to the gym yesterday, and had started on the treadmill, when a barrel-chested young former marine recently returned from a second tour in Iraq walked past. Looking at my shirt, which sports the slogan "No US War on Iraq" on the front, and a peace sign on the back, surrounded with the number of U.S. dead in the war, he stopped and said coldly, "If I see you here again in that shirt, I'll tear it off you myself." Momentarily taken aback, I looked him in the eye and said, "This is a free country, buddy, and if you touch me or my shirt, I'll have you charged with assault." As he stormed off, I reminded him that America isn't Iraq, ...

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (CNS) – Mike Callicrate is a straight-talking plainsman with a blunt, hard message: Your food is killing you, and your food system is killing your community and nation. Callicrate, a cattle rancher from St. Francis in the northwest corner of Kansas, was one of the keynote speakers at the National Catholic Rural Life Conference's annual meeting Nov. 10-11 in Overland Park. About 100 people attended, including farmers and ranchers, advocates, food industry professionals, and workers in Catholic social justice and rural life ministries. The theme of the event was sustainable food, business and agriculture. "Our food is killing us, literally," Callicrate, a ...

Last week's election results showed strong disapproval of Republican leadership as the Democrats, again, take control of Congress. It wasn't long ago that the Democrat party's complete demise was openly entertained, first after the "Republican Revolution" of 1994, and again six years later with Bush II taking the white house. Public disapproval with the Iraq war turned occupation and turned back into war again has brought the pendulum of control back to the Democrats. But Democrats have hardly earned it, since they've advertised nothing of substance as a party this cycle. They didn't need to. They took control of Congress simply because Republicans dropped the ball, just like the ...

The cameras feed images to an on-board hard drive, and that data is uploaded to a central server at MTA headquarters when the buses stop for refueling. The upload occurs across a wireless connection.
