Turtle swallowed a bug riding his motorcycle. I don't know what kind it was. I once hit a bird with my right turn signal, ran over a cat, hit a dog, and also hit a rabbit. I also ran into the back of a truck looking at a girl.

Discovery in Penis Pic Case Gets Interesting

WASHINGTON (CN) - Accused of texting a picture of his hand gripping his penis, a D.C. police sergeant might have to produce the real deal to the court for the purpose of comparison, a federal judge ruled. Laverne Battle is suing the District of Columbia and Sgt. Kevin Pope, her direct supervisor at the Metropolitan Police Department, for sexual harassment in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She claims, as an example of such harassment, that Pope texted her in June 2010 a picture of his left hand holding his penis. Battle filed a color copy of that photograph with the court and then moved to compel Pope's production of a photograph of his left hand and penis for ...

Chronicles: How to argue like a veteran couple

Most young couples begin married life knowing very little about how to argue with each other and are forced to learn through trial and error. Sadly, some of them never do learn, a good example being that couple on “The Waltons” who never fought about anything. Consequently, they ended up with three or four hundred children. There is no need for this kind of tragedy. Veteran married couples have, over the years, especially on long car trips, developed certain time-tested techniques that even an inexperienced person can use to turn any issue, no matter how minor, into the kind of vicious, drawn-out argument where you both spend a lot of time deliberately going through doors you ...

5 Bizarre Pitfalls of Owning a Classic Car
Post Date: 2014-04-18 16:05:16 by X-15

I love classic American cars like a thrice-divorced 45-year-old tax attorney loves barely legal coeds. That is to say passionately, inappropriately and almost certainly inadequately while muttering whispered apologies to the beautiful thing I am probably ruining forever. But unfortunately, this is still a free country. So just because I shouldn't, under any circumstances, be allowed near these wonderful machines, that doesn't mean I'm not. When I first started owning these things into the ground, there were some downsides that I was aware of right from the get go -- the gas mileage, the work, the money -- but I've since encountered a few stranger, more serious pitfalls that, ...

The Brillunce of Turtle

I have a 1999 Chevy Lumina my father gave to me in his will (which replaced my POS Ford van, which went to the junkyard because I didn't want to replace the rack-and-pinion, which was gushing power-steering fluid). The water pump and the thermostat went out at the same time, and the belt needed to be replaced. So I took the old belt off, changed the water pump, replaced the thermostat, put the new belt on, and put in fresh antifreeze. Now it again runs like a champ. Turtle is amazing and and can do anything! Oh, yeah, the fuel pressure regulator went out a few months ago, and I changed that, too. It was leaking a little bit of gas. Cynicom is jealous of me.

Hugo Boss Awarded Contract For Joint Service Uniform Design

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has awarded a $3.3 billion contract to German fashion designer Hugo Boss AG for a new Joint Service Uniform to be worn across all military service branches, Duffel Blog has learned. Featuring a high button collar, knee-high spit-shine-able leather dress boots, and a rounded service-type garrison cap with plastic visor, the JSU concept evokes the crisp lines and sharp appearance of the uniforms Hugo Boss created for the German military from the early 1930′s through the mid-1940′s. “Standardizing service uniforms across all branches with the JSU will save a huge amount of money, and by eliminating the hodge-podge appearance of mismatched ...

Judge rules jilted woman can keep $53,000 diamond engagement ring

The first text message left Christa M. Clark incredulous. Her fiance of 14 months broke off their engagement. “Your doing this through a text message????” she replied. But his next text messages to the would-be bride put her in a good legal position. They were all a State Supreme Court judge needed to let her keep the four-prong diamond engagement ring, valued at $53,000, even though her ex-fiance wanted it back. Louis J. Billittier Jr. sued the 38-year-old woman when she refused to return the ring after their July 2012 breakup. Both sides presented their arguments in a civil trial in November. State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia this week awarded her the white ...
