Chuck Baldwin Defeats Alan Keyes for Constitution Party Nomination Posted by Eric A. Garris at April 26, 2008 10:11 AM

The Constitution Party just overwhelmingly defeated the warmongering neocon Alan Keyes by nominating Chuck Baldwin, 383 to 125.

Last night, CP founder Howard Phillips strongly denounced Keyes as a warmonger, neocon, and egomanic. Phillips was subsequently attacked by Jim Clymer, the CP national chairman.

In spite of Keyes bringing in a lot of delegates, the CP remained true to their anti-interventionist views and rejected Keyes.

"Chuck Baldwin will have no impact on this election whatsoever."

Get the feeling that AK and 'his people' will see to that, just like they saw to taking out the long knives on Ron Paul?

Well, if you take the votes that Chuck will probably get and those that Ron will probably get, assuming they are counted, I would say that it would make a difference. A big difference in a close election. I think whoever says that men like Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul "won't make any difference" are whistling past the graveyard.

Can RP release his delegates to Baldwin?

I agree

Chuck Baldwin will be the next canary in the coal mine of Constitutional America...God bless him for being willing to get out there and make the run!

That we have a choice and Party that with clear conscience we can register our support for limited/Constitutional governance, anti-war, freedom-minded, liberty-loving people at the top...not to mention leading anti-NAUer H. Phillips...I say REGISTER OUR VOICE AGAINST THE CABAL with Baldwin for President!

Don't much see how he could. Ron's delegates will be at the R convention and Chuck will be heading the Constitution Party. Of course if the CP has their convention AFTER the R's have theirs I would imagine Ron's delegates would be free to support anyone they wanted to.

You know that's leverage right there.. If no candidate.... The Geezer, the Pleaser or The Freezer (props to Jay Leno), has enough delegates for a legitimate nomination, I can't imagine what that throws us into.

One mentioned that unless McCain recieves enough delegates, the nomination process could wind up in court.

In his acceptance speech, Baldwin said his presidency would result in the ending of illegal immigration, abortion, the streamlining of the federal government, the tapping of oil reserves in Alaska and withdrawal from Iraq.

"We will stop the international meddling...this international empire-building," Baldwin said.

When he takes office, Baldwin said, "The new world order comes crashing down!"

He pledged not only to pull out of the United Nations, but to push the international organization out of New York.

"The U.N. is going to have to find themselves another (home) because their rent is up in New York City," he said.

He said he would phase out the Internal Revenue Service and end the paying of personal income taxes. He said the country should return to the gold standard.

Home schoolers, he said, would have the best friend they ever had in the White House.

I think that you can vote twice now depending on where you live and who you plan to vote for. And they say that dead people have been voting for years in Chicago so surely it is fair for living people to vote at least a couple of times.

The primaries SHOULD be done on ONE DAY after a set period of campaigning, debating and then VOTE!

However, the illegal shadow government coopted the Parties and they now own BOTH wings of the Globalist-National UniParty...so thus we have these messed up and rigged primaries...caucases at least have a general pretense of giving the people more say than the electronic voting machines.

It's time for another organization, the Constitution Party, to deliver the goods...!

Chuck Baldwin

Pastor & Radio Talk Show Host

Born: May 3, 1952 (age 54)

Political Party: Constitution

Religion: Baptist

Visit Website

Chuck was born on May 3, 1952, to Mr. & Mrs. Edwin J. Baldwin in La Porte, Indiana. Ed Baldwin was a welder by trade and a converted alcoholic. His life story has been played over the international radio program, "Unshackled." He was a lay preacher in the jails and prisons of Northern Indiana for over 35 years.

Chuck is married to the former Miss Connie Kay Cole. Chuck and Connie were married on June 2, 1973 after meeting in college. They have three children. All three children and their families are active, dedicated Christians. Their daughter, Sarah, is married to Allan Baker, a Structural Engineer. They have three children, Emily, Jay and Amy. One son, Christopher, is married to the former Miss Jana McCoy. They have three sons: Charles, James, and Jeb. Chris owns his own plumbing construction business. The youngest son, Timothy, is a former Florida Assistant State Attorney (called District Attorney in some states) who now owns his own law firm. All three children and their families reside in Pensacola.

As a young man, Chuck had decided to pursue a career in law enforcement. His plan was to join the U.S. Marine Corps and afterward begin working as a Deputy Sheriff in La Porte County, Indiana. The Sheriff at that time was Cliff Arnold. (Arnold later became an Indiana State Representative.) Mr. Arnold had told Chuck that following his tour in the Marines, a position at the Sheriff's office was waiting for him. All that changed in the summer of 1970 when Chuck answered the divine call to Gospel minisitry. As a result, instead of joining the Marines, Chuck enrolled in Bible College.

After graduating from La Porte High School in 1971 Chuck attended Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Michigan, for two years. He then married and moved to Lynchburg, Virginia. He enrolled in the Thomas Road Bible Institute (now known as the Liberty Bible Institute at Liberty University) and graduated with his Bible Diploma. He then earned his Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology degrees via external degree programs from Christian Bible College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Chuck received his first honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Christian Bible College. He received his second honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. On this occasion Dr. Baldwin brought the Commencement Address to a crowd of over 5,000.

Dr. Baldwin and his wife met with four others on June 22, 1975, for the first meeting of the Crossroad Baptist Church. The church was organized in September of that year. Six acres of prime property were purchased in 1978. In 1985 the church was recognized by President Ronald Reagan for its unusual growth and influence. The church has gone through five building programs and has just move into its current 750-seat auditorium and office complex. The church plans to next construct a gymnasium/youth center. Some of the choice spiritual and political leaders of the nation have spoken in this pulpit including Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Reform Party Presidential Candidate Pat Buchanan, Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, Evangelist Pete Rice, U.S.S. Pueblo Intellegence Officer Lt. Commander Steven Harris, Author Salem Kirban, Vietnam Veteran/Evangelist Tim Lee, Author & Liberty University Professor Harold Willmington, Rep. Joe Scarborough, Rep. Jeff Miller, Tortured For Christ Author Harlan Popov, Evangelist Chuck Millhuff, Pastor Walt Hanford, Author/Evangelist Don Boys, Author/Evangelist/ WW II Veteran Kenny McComas, Captain Eugene "Red" McDaniel, Businessman Stanley Tam, Dr. Reed Bell, "Top Gun" Pilot/Gulf War Veteran Commander Sandy Jones, Alabama Governor Fob James, Jr., Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, 2000 Constitution Party Presidential Candidate Howard Phillips, Reform Party Vice Presidential Candidate Ezola Foster, D. James Kennedy Associate Janet Folger, 2004 Constitution Party Presidential Candidate Michael Peroutka, Former Pastor of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple, Dr. Greg Dixon, Ambassador Alan Keyes, and others.

Dr. Baldwin is the host of a lively, hard-hitting radio talk show called, "Chuck Baldwin Live." This is a daily, one hour long call-in show in which Dr. Baldwin addresses current event topics from a conservative Christian point of view. This program, which has been on the air for nearly seven years now, has been highly successful in helping to elect conservatives to local, state and national offices. "Chuck Baldwin Live" is regarded as perhaps the most influential voice in the Florida Panhandle for conservative, Christian principles. Thousands of concerned citizens are being informed and inspired to social and political activism as a direct result of this radio talk show. Chuck's guest list reads like a "Who's Who" from both the local and national scene. The program made its national debut in early May 2001 on the Genesis Communications Network.

From 1980-1984 Dr. Baldwin served as Pensacola Chairman, and then State Chairman of the Florida Moral Majority. Through these efforts many successful rallies and conferences were conducted. (One rally drew nearly 2,000 people during a driving rain storm.) Pro-family legislation was enacted, and Christians were educated as to moral-political information and involvement. Also, thousands of new conservative voters were generated.

Chuck has authored two books. The first is entitled "Subjects Seldom Spoken On" which contains eleven sermons not normally addressed. The second, "This Is The Life," is a verse-by-verse exposition of the Epistles of John. Numerous theological booklets have also been written by Dr. Baldwin, including the popular, "Let's Look at Legalism." Through his radio program Dr. Baldwin has edited and produced "The Freedom Documents." This volume contains over fifty of the most important and influential documents of American history. No where else that we know of can you find these great, historic documents under one title. Chuck also writes daily editorials that are sent to thousands of subscribers electronically. These editorial opinions are carried by several newspapers, newsletters, and Internet web sites around the country.

Chuck Baldwin is a prolific writer/columnist whose articles and political commentaries are carried by a host of Internet sites, newspapers, and news magazines. His columns have appeared in such national publications as Insight magazine. His articles are featured regularly on Internet news sites such as World Net Daily, Covenant News, News With Views, Alan Keyes' Renew America, Gulf1, Web Today and a host of others. His columns also appear regularly in newspapers such as the Greenville, South Carolina Times Examiner and The Independent Florida Sun.

Chuck has appeared on virtually every local media outlet in the Pensacola, Florida area including television, radio, and newspaper. He has also appeared on national television networks, including CNN and MSNBC. ABC television news once filmed his radio broadcast for a feature story. He has appeared on prime time national news shows such as Scarborough Country on MSNBC and Anderson Cooper on CNN. He has also appeared on the German Radio Network, and the British Broadcasting Corporation's television network. Chuck has also been featured in national magazines and newspapers such as Esquire, The Miami Herald, and The Washington Times.

On May 2, 2004, Constitution Party Presidential Candidate Michael Peroutka asked Dr. Baldwin to join him as his Vice Presidential running mate for the 2004 general election. The Constitution Party officially selected Michael Peroutka as its Presidential candidate and Dr. Chuck Baldwin as its Vice Presidential candidate at its national convention in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania on June 25th and 26th, 2004.

Chuck Baldwin has preached in churches all over the United States and overseas. He has spoken (Chuck's Speeches) at several notable events including being the keynote speaker at the 50th anniversary of D-Day celebration at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida.

Dr. Baldwin has been proclaimed an honorary member of both the Pensacola City Council and the Women for Responsible Legislation. He has appeared before the Tiger Bay Club as well as several civic organizations. He has also been the guest of honor at a meeting of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was also awarded the Bronze Medal of Patriotism by the Sons of the American Revolution.

Twice, Dr. Baldwin was proclaimed "Minister Of The Day" in the Florida House of Representatives. Recently, this distinction was awarded him by the Florida State Senate. Also, Pastor Baldwin has had audiences with former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush, Sr. and Governors Bob Martinez, Fob James, Jr. and Jeb Bush. He has also been officially recognized by the Escambia County Florida Sheriffs Department as an Honorary Deputy Sheriff.

Dr. Baldwin is a member of the Board of Directors for Gospel Radio Latin America (G.R.L.A.) in Ft. Worth, Texas, and on the Board of Regional Vice Presidents for Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. He received the "National Medal of Patriotism" award from the American Police Hall of Fame and is a volunteer chaplain at the State Prison in Century, Florida. He is also listed in "Who's Who of the Gulf Coast."

Chuck Baldwin - Constitution Party Candidate Nomination Speech for President

Interesting speech. Baldwin mentions Waco. He says that DC is more dangerous than Tehran or Baghdad. He apparently misspeaks regarding the Patriot Act, which was signed into law much sooner than the Iraq war. (On October 26th, 2001.)

I don't know much about Baldwin, but his involvement in the Moral Majority is questionable. Perhaps his intentions were good, as most who would participate in that organization would be. The net result of the Moral Majority's efforts has been negative in my view, and they have only served to justify the nominations of candidates like George W. Bush and his father. Charlotte Iserbyt has documented the Rockefeller influence on the Reagan administration, as well — how they prevented him from abolishing the Department of Education, and so forth. Reagan was a favorite of the Moral Majority and the JBS, but the Soviet Union was collapsing anyway, and he presided over many policy decisions that set us up for what we have now with Rockefeller people in power everywhere.

The Christian right appears to be under quiet domination by the same forces that indirectly manipulate the left. Note Barbara Aho's research on the the John Birch Society and the Council for National Policy, the latter of which Vicki Dillen links to the Tavistock Institute. (More on the CNP and at watch.pair.com.)

I do not see that Aho gives credit to Eustace Mullins, but he has spoken critically of the JBS. Consider this excerpt from an interview with Mullins from 2003 appearing on rense.com:

On the John Birch Society...

JBS was setup by Nelson Rockefeller. I knew two people at the original meeting. They needed a right-wing, anti-communist organization. NR decided that Robert Welch was the man to run JBS, so he arranged for the sale of Welch's Candy Co. (where Robert Welch had been working for his brother John) to Nabisco (which was a Rockefeller controlled company) at a highly inflated price and Welch was given an income to run the John Birch Society.

Revilo Oliver was a good friend of mine and he was one of the founders of the JBS. He and I were sitting in his living room once and he told me that he knew Nelson Rockefeller ran the Birch Society because he had a revolving fund at Chase Manhattan Bank, and whenever Welch needed a quarter million dollars to meet the payroll, he'd go to CMB and withdraw the money.

In his book Murder by Injection published in 1988, Mullins writes in chapter 10 (The Rockefeller Syndicate):

In the United States, the Rockefeller interests continue to play the major political role. Old John D. Rockefeller's treasurer at Standard Oil, Charles Pratt, bequeathed his New York mansion to the Council on Foreign Relations as its world headquarters. His grandson, George Pratt Shultz, is now Secretary of State. The Rockefellers also wielded a crucial role through their financing of the Trotskyite Communist group in the United States, the League for Industrial Democracy, whose directors include such staunch "anti-communists" as Jeane Kirkpatrick and Sidney Hook. The Rockefellers were also active on the "right-wing" front through their sponsorship of the John Birch Society. To enable Robert Welch, a 32nd degree Mason, to devote all of his time to the John Birch Society, Nelson Rockefeller purchased his family firm, the Welch Candy Company, from him at a handsome price. Welch chose the principal officers of the John Birch Society from his acquaintances at the Council On Foreign Relations. For years afterwards, American patriots were puzzled by the consistent inability of the John Birch Society to move forward on any of its well-advertised "anti-Communist" goals. The fact that the society had been set up at the behest of the backers of the world Communist revolution may have played some role in this development. Other patriots wondered why most American conservative writers, including the present writer, were steadily blacklisted by the John Birch Society for some thirty years. Despite thousands of requests from would be book buyers, the John Birch Society refused to review or list any of my books. After several decades of futility, the Society was totally discredited by its own record. In a desperate effort to restore its image, William Buckley, the CIA propagandist, launched a "fierce" attack against the John Birch Society in the pages of his magazine, the National Review. This free publicity campaign also did little to revive the moribund organization.
Mullins is systematically documenting the way in which the powers that be control factions in this country. John Coleman has mentioned similar lines of control, as well (in his talk on the Committee of 300, for example).

I'm intrigued by Baldwin's concern regarding the North American Union. He says encouraging things in this speech. I'll be interested in learning more about him as his campaign continues. However, it seems that there is false opposition, under the control of the powers that be. It also seems that the powers that be have a much tighter control than a single President can change.

After graduating from La Porte High School in 1971 Chuck attended Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Michigan, for two years. He then married and moved to Lynchburg, Virginia. He enrolled in the Thomas Road Bible Institute (now known as the Liberty Bible Institute at Liberty University)

Damn, that's an almost unbearable amount of brainwashing right there.

And they write innumerable books; being too vain and distracted for silence: seeking every one after his own elevation, and dodging his emptiness. - T. S. Eliot

He's not evil, he's not Establishment, and he's got my full unwavering support...short of irreconcilable differences that didn't get vetted out.

GOOD SEEING YOU!
