John Gross, one of the lead engineers of the NIST report is quesitoned about the existance of molten steel at the WTC building, the ... all » collapse of Building 7, and also explains how the NIST report did not do any analysis of the collapse of all three buidlings. John Gross was asked to come speak at the University of Texas at Austin by the Phil. M. Ferguson fund ( Link to there website, http://www.utexas.edu/research/fsel/people/index.html) UT student organization, A Project for the New American CItizen was there to ask and film his response to the questions. please get in contact with this department at UT and tell them you want a public debate of these issues with a Project for the New American Citizen. We need to put as much pressure on these people as we can. Our website is http://PNACitizens.org Subscribe to *9-11*

I was pleased to see a copy of this image included in the video. It is a one of a kind image. What makes it significant is the very fact that it should not be one of a kind.Allow me to explain.

There are dozens of witness statements describing red hot molten metal or red hot molten steel at Ground Zero after the collapse. There are witness statements describing photographs and video of red hot molten metal at Ground Zero.FEMA posted a Photo Gallery on the internet with literally hundreds of photographs documenting the daily excavation and clean up efforts at Ground Zero. FEMA did not post one single photograph of red hot molten metal, despite the fact the photos documented in great detail the excavation efforts.

The reported phenomenon of pools of red hot metal at Ground Zero was a unique event. As a unique event that has never occurred before, it is reasonable to conclude there should be more photographs of the red hot molten metal in the public domain. However, there is only one.

It may be worth explaining how the only photograph of the well documented phenomenon of red hot metal at Ground Zero ended up in the public domain. The explanation begins with Frank Silecchia. Below is an excerpt from an article about Frank.

------------------------------------------------

Amid the wreckage, worker finds affirmation of faith.

Article by http://CNN.com.

NEW YORK (CNN, October 4, 2001) - - Two nights after two hijacked jetliners slammed into the World Trade Center, causing it to collapse in a mound of twisted wreckage, Frank Silecchia had just helped remove three bodies from the rubble when he looked up and saw a scene he says transfixed him.

Among the debris from Tower One that had crashed onto the floor of the atrium of Building 6, the laborer with Local 731 said he saw steel beams strewn about in the shape of crosses that reminded him of depictions showing Jesus Christ and two thieves being crucifies on Calvary.

------------------------------------------------------------------

During the clean up,Frank Silecchia photographed the red hot molten steel.I use the specific word "steel" here because Frank described it as steel and he was there. Later,he established a website called http://wtcgodshouse.com. Frank posted his personal photographs from Ground Zero on his website where I ran across the above image while searching for photographs of the molten steel at Ground Zero. I saved the image on my computer. Later,Frank's website became inactive and the domain name switched hands. After I discovered the image was no longer available on Frank's website I hosted the image and posted it on LibertyPost on the thread linked below.

"New York visit reveals extent of WTC disaster[molten metal still red hot weeks after the event]

A researcher working closely with Dr. Stephen Jones discovered the image on the Libertypost thread: "New York visit reveals extent of WTC disaster[molten metal still red hot weeks after the event]

As a result, the image became a part of the ground breaking paper by Dr. Stephen Jones,"Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Collapse?"
http://www.mindfully.org/Reform/2006/WTC-Jones19mar06.htm

After appearing in Dr. Jones' paper, the image is now forever in the public domain and will remain there.

My intention here is not to exaggerate my role in the history of this image. My intention is to explain why there may be only one photograph in the public domain of the red hot molten metal widely reported at Ground Zero. Also, I would like people to know that without forums like Libertypost and Freedom4um, this photograph would not be in the public domain and statements like the one made in this video by this NIST representative might be more difficult to challenge without photographic proof.

Excerpts

John Gross appeared at the University of Texas to lecture on the NIST Report on the WTC collapse.

The exchange goes as such:

John: "First of all, let's go back to your basic premise that there was a pool of molten steel. I know of absolutely no way, no eyewitnesses, at least nobody who's produced it, uh, I was on the site, I was at the steel yards...so...I can't, I don't know that that's so."

Student: "There's video of it."

John: "Steel melts at around 2,600 degrees fahrenheit, um, I think it's probably pretty difficult to get that kind of temperatures in a, um, in a fire."

NIST's JohnGross: "Steel melts at around 2,600 degrees fahrenheit, um, I think it's probably pretty difficult to get that kind of temperatures in a, um, in a fire."

Well, most of us agree on that point. What is needed is an investigation to determine what produced the red hot molten metal.Pretending the eyewitnesses do not exist and the photograph does not exist is not sufficient.
