When Illinois lawmakers brag about having a “welcoming state,” they might want to talk to parents like Susie Redfern. In 2019, the Chicago Tribune profiled her and her son Nick as symptomatic of a dysfunctional system failing to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.

But rather than fixing that crisis, the Illinois Legislature created a new one, establishing health care programs for illegal immigrants that have exploded in costs, even as some of the state’s most vulnerable citizens lack access to needed care. It’s a particularly cruel example of the misplaced priorities of the radical left.

It is cheaper to let the disabled die, than keep them alive at the expense of the able bodied non- citizens who will be doing the jobs that Americans won’t.

I have a cousin and we were room mates in a two-bedroom apartment. When we moved out, the "white witch" manager kept $200 of our security deposit because we didn't paint the apartment.

We had to sue the management company to get the money back, plus court costs, of course and time lost from work.

My cousin had a single bypass heart operation and had a stroke. Now I hear he is in a wheelchair and no idea how he gets around and gets food in the house.

He wasn't making the kind of money that I was on Illinois State Highways, so I bet his SSD pay from Social Security is not nearly as much as is mine. ;)

Let's pass a law requiring that tomatoes grow. Just because. And lettuce. Taco trees, man, tacos!
