It appears increasingly likely Wikileaks founder and publisher Julian Assange will wind up in the clutches of the U.S. government.

It’s hardly surprising, given that in ten years’ time, Wikileaks published more classified information than all other media combined. It exposed human rights abuses, government spying, torture, and war crimes on an unprecedented scale.

WikiLeaks put government, corporations and even the Pentagon, the FBI, the CIA and other intel agencies on notice that they could no longer count on operating in secret.

It created a trove of primary source material that serious journalists and researchers will mine for years to come. Its publications are accessible to readers who prefer primary sources to mostly mediated news.

Wikileaks so infuriates the USA’s most violent, corrupt, and criminal institutions that Hillary Clinton half-jokingly suggested drone-bombing Assange. Other U.S. politicians called for his execution by other means. Cypherpunks: Freedom a... Julian Assange Best Price: $10.49 Buy New $10.64 (as of 12:45 EST - Details)

California’s 28th District Congressman Adam Schiff, who became the chair of the House Intelligence Committee when Democrats reclaimed the House, said he would speak to Assange “when he is in U.S. custody, not before.”

Schiff is a vociferous and supremely self-righteous leader of the Democratic Party’s “Resistance,” which sullies the name of the underground movement formed in France during World War II to fight Nazi Germany’s occupying forces and the collaborationist Vichy government.

The “Resistance” tolerates only one truth and one loyalty: Russia is the enemy, interfering in Syria, Ukraine and even U.S. elections. Russia elected Trump with Wikileaks’ help, it says. Russia dares to position missiles on its own borders, it says, to respond to NATO’s missiles on the other side. The U.S. must build more missiles, more drones, more nuclear weapons, and every other sort of weapon to defend the European world against Russia and its ally China.

Moral and Racial Superiority

Moral and racial superiority entitles the U.S. to occupy the world with military bases, ringing any nation that challenges its hegemony with military aircraft, battleships, assault vehicles, and military surveillance. Moral and racial superiority entitles its spy state agencies to shut down access to information deviating from its narratives and therefore to arrest and extradite Julian Assange.

The Republican Party shares the same supremely intolerant nature as the Democrats, but differentiates itself by insisting that, although Russia is the enemy, Donald Trump did not collude with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election.

The Republicans also want to silence the founder of Wikileaks and find a way to shut the organization down. Trump’s former CIA director, and now Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, has called Wikileaks a “non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia” and vowed to hunt Assange down.

Has Time Run Out?

Assange has been an asylee in Ecuador’s London Embassy for more than six years—since August 2012. Ecuador and the UK, however, are no closer to an agreement that would allow him safe passage out of the embassy. In a recent video conference, #Unity4J organizer Suzie Dawson said she fears Assange and those working to free him are running out of time:

“Right now time is not on our side. And I had someone today complaining because they want us to do a big, big action day march. When you do those types of actions it takes two or three months to organize. You need to have an organizing committee, you need to wallpaper the town, you need to have one date that you do it on, you need to do a ton of advertising. You need to get all the unions and various other organizations to sign on board, and then you have this one action day.

“Well, there’s a couple of problems with that. First of all, I don’t think we have three months right now. If we schedule a February giant march in support of Julian, I honestly don’t think we have until February. I hope I’m wrong. I hope that the actions we take in the short term, in the next days and weeks, will buy us that much time for Julian, but I don’t see it.”

CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou, who spent two years in prison for exposing the agency’s official use of torture, said if Assange walks out of the embassy without a guarantee of safe passage, he will be extradited to the U.S. in chains: The WikiLeaks Files: T... “We all know why the British have that embassy ringed. It’s to snatch him and to turn him over to the United States. If that happens, the CIA and the FBI are both going to be on that plane and they’re both going to be at least attempting to interrogate him all the way back home. They will bring him back to the United States in chains because that’s what they do.“

Dawson feels the FBI and CIA will interrogate and torture Assange to try to obtain information that would allow them to bring Wikileaks down. She has no doubt he’s been preparing for this eventuality for years. She believes he will have made sure the organization has adopted security codes and measures he himself doesn’t know and therefore can’t reveal—even if he’s tortured.

“They want to know about security files for example. They want to know about the inner processes and workings of Wikileaks. They want access to the knowledge that’s inside Julian’s brain. And they will torture him. And they will interrogate him in order to attempt to get that.

“Now I trust Julian to be smart enough to have made sure that even he doesn’t possess a lot of that knowledge. In my personal opinion, Julian has spent years planning for these various eventualities, but it won’t stop them from trying.”

Dawson added intelligence agencies are eager to punish him: “At the end of the day they want to punish him for outing their corruption and their crimes. They’ve been waiting eight years to do it, and they will be rubbing their hands together with glee at the prospect of the UK detaining him and extraditing him to the USA.”

If anyone living today ever deserved our stupid "Medal of Freedom" it's Julian Assange.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Julian needs a diversion during which he can be smuggled out. A big one.

Assange needs to be freed ! If our transparent and open government won't live up to its obligation then its our responsibility to support someone that makes it possible.

How embarrassing for the NSA to have an independent bunch report on those events that should have been disclosed by those bloated and over funded agencies. Washington, D.C. has become public enemy #1, not Julian Assange.

Trump, the munny loving Zio Boot Licker, wants to see Julian executed.

Quite frankly there isn't one hair on Assange's azz that isnt't worth more than the entire Trump Klan.

I'm not sure that Trump won't pardon Assange. Trump plays his hand close to the chest because of the opposition's determination to hinder his agenda. I think he'd be sorry if he doesn't pardon Assange, if in fact Assange has actually committed a criminal offense.

The response of the Justice department was to Assange making public the unnecessary murder of two Reuters employees by the U.S. mistaking them for terrorists ... and then shooting up a van with kids in it that tried to assist the wounded.

Shame on American troops when they fire on any group indiscriminately. War criminals must be prosecuted, and torture outside of hostile zones like in a POW facility are also war crimes. TV programs like "24" are purposed to expose the American people to torture in such a manner as to gain their approval for it. These types of programs call into question the role of the CIA and the many abuses of their mandate.

Right now, I'd be shocked if he did. I have read tone of your sermons over the years, and while I haven't often been moved to second your bombs on target, I've gotta comment just this once.

That dirty cop Mueller is about to indict Jerome Corsi and Roger Stone. Repub senators are busy heaping praise on the new acting AG, Whitaker, who is telling us what a good job Mueller is doing -- that six foot plus son-of- an-I didn't-know-they-stacked-shit-that-high.

If Trump moves to lean on Whitaker on this, I would be just as genuinely stunned if he was motivated to pardon Assange.

I have a strong feeling that this just ain't going to happen. I am just white hot at the way things have turned out the last two years. The Democrats who have earned a seat in the defendant's box will never be found on the hot spot. They are in the driver's seat and they will continue to push this country over to the left and over the cliff, which is the job of all good Bolsheviks.

Cheers.

It's time for some good Olde Fashioned 'right wing Fascism'.

The Constitution and BoR haven't existed, in practice, since the united States of America was become a Federal Reserve corporation.

I'd like to see some "good ol' common sense" but apparently that bus has left the terminal.

I'm glad that you decided to respond. Your response is well reasoned and on point. It has been quite a few years here on 4UM for most of us that remain having joined almost at its inception.

You mentioned the good Bolsheviks and our current situation much resembles the 1917 Bolshevik revolution that took out Russia's ruling elite family (the Czar), and brutally slaughtered his entire family. To my understanding the revolution was primarily one of Jewish invention and causes me to wonder how the rest of the Czar's extended family (most of the Kings and Queens of Europe) strategized to retain their power and their necks after witnessing the demise of their cousin.

America is very much in danger of suffering the same fate as Russia suffered in 1917. Iron Curtain Over America, John Beaty is a must read especially Chapters 2 and 3.

It's all to obvious that the governing of America has become one where an individual is set in position to dictate policy. Jeff Sessions, Donald Trump, a single federal judge, or the congressional head of one committee or another can derail an investigation or muddy the waters related to any issue that concerns 330 million people with the help of the media.

Thanks for that link, Doug. I saved it to my HD.

The Bolsheviks always intended to bring the Revolution to the very shores of America. Now with the help of jerks like George Soros with his nearly unlimited funds and the Color Revolutions he is starting all around, they are very near to this happening.

Only Trump has saved us from the continuing corruption of the Clintonistas. And now he must confront the continuing scam of the Federal Reserve System. Janet Yellin has been on him hard of late. ;)

You are most welcome my friend ! I'm re-reading it as we speak. It's funny just how much of this book I had forgotten over time. I originally read this book upon finding it mis-located at the San Diego, Law Library. And even though I don't blame the "Jews" for the entirety of America's shitty condition, they have a long history of not assimilating to the point of revolution that has caused them to be exiled from nearly every country that has allowed them entry, some more than once.

In America it's difficult to even have an intelligent conversation about this because Christian Zionists have been brainwashed to listen to the pulpit prostitutes rather than study historical "FACT" !
