Arthur Scheuerman The NIST investigation was mainly interested in what caused the WTC collapses. They have discovered that the long span open area high rise design and construction with week connections was unable to withstand the effects of a large out of control fire over several floors and that this fire was sufficient to demolish both the towers and building 7.
